Community Awareness Day is a “community celebration of prevention” focusing on the abuse of alcohol and other drugs, including tobacco, child abuse, domestic violence, sexual assault and elder abuse. This year one of our goals is primary prevention, which means that we will work toward respectful behaviors that will encourage us to live lives free from violence, respecting each other, and ourselves.
