Reframing Tourism in Armstrong County

The Armstrong County Community Foundation has partnered with the Armstrong County Tourist Bureau to bring renowned author and speaker Dan Shilling to the Crooked Creek Environmental Learning Center on April 1.

Dan will be discussing “The Poetry and Politics of Place — Reframing Tourism.”  How do we take advantage of new economic trends?  What is our attraction?  Who gets to say?  How do we enhance it?  Where do we find funding for it? 

The workshop will include brainstorming and group work.  Don’t come just to listen–come to be inspired and to be ready on act on what your community needs to succeed in this tough economic climate.

Register by calling or emailing the Tourist Bureau 888.265.9954, touristbur@co.armstrong.pa.us.   $20 for the first registrant from an organization; $10 for each additional registrant from the same organization.  Each registered organization will receive a copy of Dan’s book, Civic Tourism.
