Making Community Connections
You may remember me telling you about Community Connections, an inititative of Pittsburgh 250. Community Connections awarded both regional and grassroots projects in Southwestern Pennsylvania: the PA Friends of Agriculture Foundation was awarded $50,000 to construct a mobile science and agricultural laboratory to travel to schools thoughout Western Pennsylvania. Community Connections also awarded approximately $24,000 to 7 grassroots projects in Armstrong County, which you can view here. Stay up-to-date with all the happenings in your community and region with the 250 Calendar, to which you may also add events. Our local Armstrong County Tourist Bureau calendar of events is the most up-to-date information you can get for local celebrations–be sure to check it out!
You can see here the large the list of supporters, including the Armstrong County Community Foundation.
Even the Snyder of Berlin potato chip company got in on the act by designing a special bag for Pittsburgh 250!
