A Resource Worth Your Time

November 15th, 2007 · No Comments

The Armstrong County Human Resource Council is a valuable source of information about human services in our communities.  Members meet quarterly and share program updates and projects that are of value to our clients.

(Cheri Platko Community Action Agency Head Start, Kim Pivetta Community Action’s Housing Program, Kim Clark-Revay Family Counseling Center, KJ Collamer Allegheny Power social worker, Lanna Shaw ARIN Intermediate Unit #28, Barb Miklos Armstrong-Indiana Drug & Alcohol Commission, and Carol Pontius Armstrong County Children, Youth & Family Services are among those who met on Thursday to exchange program news and discuss plans for 2008).

The Human Resource Council’s dues are a modest $20/year for organizations; individuals may join for $15.  The group meets quarterly at Armstrong County Memorial Hospital–a small, but very valuable, investment of time and money. (Lunch is only $6.25 for one of the best meals in Armstrong County for the price!)  Join us to meet and learn from your co-laborers in the service field.  To obtain a membership application, contact Carol Pontius at capontious@co.armstrong.pa.us.

A professional development training is being planned for April 2008.  Don’t miss out.
