The Big Read

The Big Read is an initiative of the National Endowment for the Arts designed to restore reading to the center of American culture.  Armstrong County has been selected as a participant, thanks to the grant-writing skills of librarian Amanda Powell and the ACCF.  The NEA granted Kittanning Public Library $6,100 for Big Read activities this October, and the ACCF matched this grant, and applied for and received another matching grant from the Kellogg Foundation.
