The all-volunteer Armstrong Concert Band (which has a scholarship fund at the ACCF that awards $250 annually to a student band member chosen by lottery) has 3 free concerts left in July:
July 15 CONCORDIA CONCERT 7:00 PM Cabot, PA
July 24 CHRISTMAS IN JULY CONCERT 7:00 PM Crooked Creek Lake Park Ford City
July 28 LAST CONCERT OF THE SUMMER 7:00 PM Ford Cliff Boro Building
Dennis Cramer, music teacher and trombonist, has directed the band for 23 years. Band members range in age from high school to some members in their 80’s!
The audience enjoys marches, the big band sound, hymns, and some modern arrangements.

I have enjoyed ACB concerts for many years, it’s great for “regular folks” who may not otherwise have a place to showcase their musical talents past high school or college. The music always sounds wonderful, even more so since my two daughters have joined the band! If you’ve never been to an ACB concert, you should definitely go this summer!
